I wrote this poem in both English and Spanish because I got the flu and didn’t want to read while wearing a mask. I was inspired by La Batalla de las Vírgenes by Rosario Ferré, which I was reading at the doctor’s office, but not at urgent care. -Jess Fleet
Some cat paintings Sarah did this past winter
During the long cold winters of Colorado, I am grateful to be an artist. I started when I was a child and never stopped doing art. My current obsession is painting cats because they bring me joy every day. Of course mixing in some yoga and meditation is part of that too :) I think it all goes together well. Cats. Yoga. Meditation. Repeat. -Sarah Rose
You are both so darned creative! Jess, your poem is so cool - it's like a collage of words, languages, images both ancient and modern. I want to study every aspect to understand it all. And Sarah, what absolute beautiful kitties (especially the black one on the top row!) Thank you for sharing your gifts with us. Creativity is a wonderful way to get through winter...
Wow Sara. our kitties seem so real to me, I can practically hear rhem purr! thanks for sharing! x0x0
